Beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax)

4.50

This striking perennial is quite a sight, especially en masse, with its balloon shaped inflorescences loaded with tiny white flowers, arising from grass like evergreen foliage. The foliage has long been used by indigenous peoples for basket making. The species is found in dry forest openings. Sow in fall for cold stratification and cover lightly. Holding for multiple seasons is recommended as germination may be slow.
